In the Spring of 2022 a group of Jesus followers from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania met to pray. The group felt the Holy Spirit encouraging them to bring other believers together to pray for their county. Over the course of the next several months, with help from their partners at Leaders of Faith Foundation, a vision and mission took shape. They asked what it would look like to set aside one day a year to bring together believers to give thanks to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior for all the blessings we have in Lancaster County. Asking for His wisdom and guidance to be poured out for the businesses, government bodies, churches, arts & media, families, education institutions, and not for profits in our community. Encouraging participants to seek God’s guidance to deepen their personal prayer life. The result was beyond anything we could imagine – one only God could orchestrate. On November 4th, 2022, at the Eden Resort in Lancaster, over 400 followers of Christ came together for the first annual Lancaster Prayer Breakfast. A time of fellowship, worship, and prayer. Having outgrown that space, the following year, on the first Friday in November, the breakfast was moved to Shady Maple Smorgasbord.
